GLOSSARY
GLYCINE PROPIONYL-L-CARNITINE HCL (GPLC)

Glycine Propionyl-L-Carnitine HCL (GPLC)

How does it work?

GPLC is a patented bonded form of propionyl-L-carnitine (PLC) bonded with the amino acid glycine.1 GPLC is used as a carnitine agent to increase nitric oxide levels which leads to vasodilation in vascular smooth muscle and can therefore assist in delivering oxygen and nutrients to muscular tissue more efficiently.2 Some studies have shown GPLC acts as an antioxidant and protects against lipid peroxidation as well as increasing nitric oxide levels simultaneously.3 GPLC is similar to the effects of PLC which assists the body to produce energy and increases circulation in vascular tissue hence its use in treating peripheral vascular disease , diabetes and erectile dysfunction.4

What results can be expected?

GPLC may assist in improving exercise performance and recovery through elevating nitric oxide levels through increasing vasodilation and blood flow to muscle tissue.5 GPLC also provides antioxidant activity against lipid peroxidation.6
