GLOSSARY
ARGININE NITRATE

Arginine Nitrate

How does it work?

Arginine nitrate has the same effects of L-Arginine which is to drive nitric oxide into muscles giving higher nutrient delivery, vasodilation and smooth muscle relaxation.1 One difference is that Arginine nitrate also uses a ‘reverse nitric oxide pathway’ in addition to the ‘arginine-NO pathway’ therefore having the advantage of two pathways for nitric oxide synthesis.2

What results can be expected?

Arginine nitrate is more beneficial for anaerobic exercise – such as sprinting and weightlifting.3 As a result of increasing nitric oxide synthesis there will be increased oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues through vasodilation and smooth muscle relaxation, enabling enhanced performance and recovery.4
